It was my first time here and on recommendation. I was not disappointed! It is very cozy and beautiful there. The selection of dishes is enough and there is something for everyone. You sit very comfortably on the benches and the pillows suggest you are at home. The currently prevailing hygiene regulations are absolutely implemented and as a guest you don't notice anything. This promotes well-being again. My food was very good. Old town potato pan. I still have one suggestion to mention. I also want the flair of the dining room on the toilet. It was cool there (from the ambience) and didn't go with the rest. BUT! I would come again alone to enjoy the old town of Idstein on the way to the potato kitchen 😊 June 2020, Greetings Ralf ☀

Very tasty dishes, especially the pans (as can be seen below) are particularly recommended. The staff and especially the owner is very friendly. A visit is mandatory.

Good selection, delicious food and even friendlier service. The decor was also nice and fits the theme of the restaurant. And the toilets were clean. Earned 5 stars :)

Our expectations were probably too high. When I go to an explicit potato house, I don't expect wafer-thin 0815 frozen potato pancakes. The accompanying salad simply consisted of simple iceberg lettuce with a ready-made dressing. My partner had a dish with fried potatoes, which unfortunately were mostly served completely burnt black. Something like that shouldn't have left the kitchen in the first place. Unfortunately we did not find price / performance ratio consistent. Furnishing loving and service friendly.

We were there yesterday. A really great atmosphere. The service was discreet but very attentive. Food very nicely arranged and incredibly delicious. A nice evening. Keep it up !

I have been to this restaurant five times and it never disappoints. A former boss recommended it and he was mot wrong. The proprietor speaks English and she has English language menus. Food is excellent, highly recommend the pork medallions. Well worth the twenty minute ride from Wiesbaden to Idstein for you foodies out there!

Delicious cuisine, nice beer garden, good service

A very quaint restaurant in the old part of idstein. As you guessed, potatoes of every kind on the menu, but also a good selection of meat dishes. In the summer you can sit in their adorable courtyard.

We recommend. Very friendly service, food is delicious. In the summer you sit very nicely in the courtyard. It would be nice if the allergens were directly in the map. 😉 Otherwise there is nothing to complain about. Definitely book !!

Sweet little restaurant with good cuisine and very friendly service. It's all about the potato. Particularly tasty: potato pancakes. Nice crisp and very thin. That's how they have to be. A reservation is advantageous at popular times, we will be happy to come back !!

The atmosphere is nice, the food is delicious and reasonably priced, and they have both German and English menus.
